Browser and Windows versions have separate version numbers. A higher number does not mean one has every feature of the other.

Browser v1.26: a more guided review

More help with the decisions that automatic document checks cannot make for you.

  • Plain-language review questions, human-check records, and clearer explanations of what still needs attention.
  • Mixed PDF and Office folder review, with a downloadable bundle of document copies and automated reports. Human-review records download separately.
  • Coaching for image and chart descriptions, complex tables, editable PDF form labels, and HTML reading-copy drafts.
  • Broader Office checks for slide titles, language, links, graphics, and supported contrast cases, with conservative repair choices and a reset-to-original option.
  • A matching branded folder-review page and a third home-page card to make it easier to find.
  • Document work stays in temporary page memory, with no save-and-resume feature. Downloads happen when you request them.

How to get it: Open the website. If it is already open, download the work you want to keep before refreshing. Refreshing clears your current document session.

Windows 2.0.0: the guided workspace, offline

The guided PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel workspace joins the existing desktop tools.

  • The guided review, mixed-folder workflow, and document assistance described in browser v1.26 are now available in the Windows app.
  • Bundled offline OCR for English, Spanish, French, and German, plus local AI image-description drafts for you to review.
  • A Desktop tools menu for native PDF batch work and Word or PowerPoint conversion to PDF. The corresponding Microsoft Office application is required for conversion.
  • Separate output folders help prevent files with the same name from overwriting each other. Background processing and validator-result checks are improved.
  • The guided workspace blocks external requests and does not save or restore document sessions. Explicit downloads and native-tool exports save copies to disk.

How to get it: Download the Windows installer, or extract the portable ZIP into a separate folder. Older versions do not update automatically. Windows 10 or 11 on an x64 PC is required.

What still needs your review

Automatic fixes and AI descriptions do not certify a document as accessible. Review the finished copy in its intended reader and complete the remaining human checks. HTML reading copies are drafts to compare with the original.

The Windows release is unsigned. Installation information and verification checksums are on the download page. Mac beta remains at v1.13 and is not part of this update.

This release history starts with the September 10, 2026 updates. Current Windows download: 2.0.0. Earlier Windows releases remain available in the release archive.
